Solution Designed for Off-Grid Areas
Energy-Hub (E-Hub) is a modified shipping container, equipped with solar systems, high-capacity batteries and charging slots.
E-Hubs are designed to overcome two main challenges that solar providers face in remote areas - high infrastructural costs and low initial energy demand - and boost productive use of energy WAY BEYOND the wired distribution.
E-Hubs are equipped with electric bicycles. Basic configuration has 6 batteries of 1.2Kwh each and 6 electric bicycles designed to carry at least one adult passenger and one child or up to 80 kg of cargo up to 50 km on a fully charged battery.
E-bikes batteries can be disconnected from the bicycle and connected to other machines that need energy - mills for example – for Productive Use of Energy.
This technological innovation transforms each bicycle into a Mobile Power Station.
Mobile Power solution solves last mile challenge and delivers the energy exactly to the location where it is requested – a remote field to power a pump or a local tailor shop to power sewing machine, thus boosting energy demand in the community with no wired distribution costs.
As per each site needs, E-Hub can be a standalone, or be expanded with more solar panels to become a Solar Mini Grid on its own.
Airtime & mobile money, small grocery, copying and printing. Solar dryers can be deployed to enable drying of agro produce.
Services of LPG cylinder and Batteries delivery are possible, while payment will be done with mobile money.
E-Hubs are targeting under-served communities with different services:
Mobility-to-go: E-bikes as an affordable and sustainable transport alternative for women
Energy-to-go: Delivery of LPG cylinders and LI Ion batteries
AgroTech-to-go: Delivery of agro inputs, manual tools and storage hermetic bags to women clients in neighboring communities (up to 15 km away)
Mobile energy delivery creates a Virtual Mini Grid of up to 15 km radius from an energy-generating point, thus boosting energy demand and stimulating business activities in the community.
